- Afanfryn Camping is a dog friendly Camping and Caravanning members only campsite the realisation of a dream husband and wife Mick and Niki Cronin had after many years of camping and travelling about in their campervan.
- The site is situated in the Cambrian Mountains next to a working sheep farm and only 12 miles from the coastal town of Aberystwyth. The site makes for an ideal base to go out and about to explore what mid/west Wales has to offer. Or should you be looking to escape the stress of everyday life in an idyllic peaceful setting where you can enjoy spectacular views and enjoy a walk or two in the local forest situated 5 minutes away on foot then Afanfryn Camping makes for a perfect place to pitch up.
- There is so much to explore within the local area and further a field why not pay a visit to Devil’s Bridge situated 3 miles from site where you can view the spectacular waterfalls and if you are a lover of steam engines you can board The Vale of Rheidol Steam Railway and journey in to Aberystwyth.
- Aberystwyth has plenty to offer for everyone one of the main attractions in addition to the steam railway being Aberystwyth Cliff Railway which is the longest funicular cliff railway in Britain and once you arrive at the summit you can take in the fabulous views and maybe enjoy a game of miniature golf or something to eat or drink from the café/restaurant.
- If you prefer to be out and about amongst nature and wildlife then there is so much to see and do within 30 minutes from site is Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest Visitor Centre where you could try out the Mountain Bike trails, witness Red Kites being fed or why not pay a visit to Cors Caron a local nature reserve. The Magic of Life Butterfly House is another attraction and there is also the opportunity to journey thorough the surrounding area on horseback by paying a visit to Rheidol Riding Centre. If you don’t mind travelling further afield why not pay a visit to Newquay an hour away where you will be able to take a boat trip to do a
bit of dolphin spotting. - The site is also conveniently situated to take in some Welsh history as Hafod Estate, owned by the National Trust is less than 4 miles away and Strata Florida Abbey a grand medieval abbey where generations of
Welsh princes are buried, is a twenty-minute drive away. - This is just some of the things to see and do as there is far more out there to explore.
